Jan Brejcha obtained his Ph.D. in HCI/UX at the Institute of Information Studies and Librarianship, Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. During his studies he developed a cross-cultural semiotics and language-based design, analysis, and evaluation methodology, which is presented in the book Cross-Cultural Human-Computer Interaction and User Experience Design: A Semiotic Perspective. Jan leads HCI/UX-related lectures and workshops and engages as a consultant for interesting projects in the academic and corporate fields. His passion for human–machine interaction also drives him in new business development for a machinery trading company he co-owns. He capitalizes on his past studies and experience to design useful, usable, and appealing systems and services. Contact me
